This story of Andrew and Jason is just too cute! Andrew contacted me about capturing his surprise proposal to his boyfriend Jason. We met up at a Starbucks down the street from UT Arlington and discussed the details.
Andrew chose the Dallas Arboretum as the place to surprise Jason. He already had an idea of the exact spot. He talked to both his parents and Jason’s about his plans and asked them to come up from San Antonio (where the couple is originally from).
So, it’s Sunday! The entire family has met up for a cloudy day at the Arboretum in Dallas. I discreetly tagged along behind them, taking my touristy like photos of all the beautiful flowers. I knew it would be one of two spots we discussed a couple of days prior.
We passed up the first spot since it was crowded with several people including a couple having their photos taken as well as a young lady in a huge ball gown for her quinceanera photos. So I knew exactly where he would propose and this spot was an amazing choice.
Such a beautiful setting. And of course Jason said yes!!!
The kicker..... Jason proposed to Andrew the night before! He planned a nice dinner for them at the Reunion Tower and the whole family knew about his proposal as well. After dinner, they got back home to an engagement party! How friggin awesome is that?! The amount of love you see between the two is amazing and the love and support from their family is beautiful!
They‘re planning for a summer wedding next year, but not sure if they’ll have it here in the DFW area or their hometown!
But enough talking, check out more photos from the surprise proposal/ engagement session.
